Went to TRS the other day and saw they have these little matchbox projectors. 1.7" diameter. The only thing that makes me wonder is will the stock housing handle the heat? The backs look like plastic so it might work better. Just looking for insight here.

I'd say if you're using a standard 35w hid bulb (which produces less heat than halogen) than yes. Just be sure and enclose the front half of the projector as it is not a sealed unit and will need protection from the elements. The factory fog light housing I know for a fact can take the heat of 55w halogens without getting damaged.

Gotta love them Matchbox's.

So what's the issue you're going through here? Sounds to me like you're more concerned about performance over looks. I'd recommend using some Hella XY (stands for extreme yellow) 3000k halogen bulbs. The yellow light really pierces the darkness and also looks great at night with the CL/TL's factory HID headlights (IMO). Other than that, you can shoot them babies (fog light housings) over to my shop (or any other installer on TRS's sight) and get a professional retrofit done and be done with it. Lol

I've seen lenses melt and housings melt before too. But it's usually with 55w variants over the 35w halogens. If its heat you're worried about then you may want to consider using HID's instead with a 35w oem ballast and bulb. Then use transparent yellow vinyl and to gain the yellow color. I did just this on my wife's MDX and my TL-S.

Pick up a set of Fusion/Edge/Flex/etc.... Fog lights, (remove the foreground limiter if you want) and convert them to HID. They are sealed so all you would have to do is make a trim cover for the front oem driving..

I have one of those. I work at a ford dealer and I get them sometimes if we replace a broken one or something.

Not much, reading electrical schematics is probably my weakest point, but If i stare at something long enough i can usually figure it out. Yes i am, more of a lurker than anything but i am there.

Diagrams/schematics are not something most people can understand very easily. Don't feel so bad.

Lmao, if it were that easy I'd be a rich fool. There's so much more to it than just wiring. I was thinking the other day about this and if we could mount the j35a8 crank sensor on the j32a2 oil pump, machine the j35a8 cam/crank trigger wheels down and fit the j35a8 cam sensor/cam sensor mounting plate, you my friend would have Hondata on your j32a2 (well, j37a2)....once the harness is wired up of course.

So when we doing this? I already have 70% of the requirements, I just need you to adapt the crank sensor.

I dont think it would be that hard to adapt the crank sensor/gear. If i can get my hands on them ill do it
