Hard Braking in Turns - Rattles and Shakes

Does anyone have some insight or information as to this? I have noticed on serveral different occasions, when braking and turning into a hair-pin or driveway (hard brake and hard turn) there is a knockin or rattling from the inner wheel respective to the turn.

My thoughts are that it may be the following:

1) ABS and TCS doing its thing.
2) The CV Joint not being able to rotate as effectivly under a tight turning radius causing the 'knocking / rattle'
3) My head playin tricks with me as to it just might be road conditions causing stuff up front to shake and rattle (but there shouldn't be anything moving around up there)

The Stability Control working, it seems....

Don't brake and turn, it can de-stablilize your car and cause a spin :o
