Last night did some runs with this kids Prelude. I have a cl-p, only mod is CT exhuast, drop so my car is pretty much stock. So this kid takes me and my friend for a ride and talks alot about his vtec and blah blah. So his mods are:

99ish Prelude 5speed
Intake
Headers
Exhuast
Hondata Chip
A little headwork i think
CF Hood and Altezza's

It was loud, but not impressive he thinks he'll killa 5spd wrx easily.
So i'm thinking with those mods he should def be able to take me, and prob hang if not take a cl-s auto.

So we go from 2 rolls, i pull on him in second, and third he starts to inch up.
From a stop, he takes the launch, i pull in second, but the top of third he starts to pull so he does have a better top end.

Of course he flashed his hazards and said i killed you, but he didn't understand 3 honks, and kept flooring it on the 1st honk. I will admit his top end is stronger but hell I'm stock and he has bolt on's chip and some weight reduction. So i'm happy with the outcome, just wait till I get headers and intake to counteract his top end.


How fast should he run quarter mile with his mods?
I thought stock 5spd is about equal to cl-p. Is mine a factory freak?

I don't think you have a factory freak, just maybe the kid in the prelude can't drive. He should be in the high 14's with his mods.

i know its said a lot, but get some headers

The kid is talking out of his mouth at the other end. He doesnt have headwork or prob not even a data chip. He prob does have the basics header, exhaust, and intake. But, Whopee. You know this kid is liar when he says he beats wrx's. It's so easy to recognize when people are full of it. The best is just nodd your head to his b.s. and race him and make him look stupid.
