My SS is retarded. When I'm in 2nd and about half to WOT it takes 3 to 4 up taps on the SS to go into 3rd. Only that situation, 2nd to 3rd - upshift not down - and only when I'm about half to Wide Open Throttle! I'm getting it looked at when I go in for my 15,000 service. Anybody else's SS handicapped?????

I dont have the same problem being that I havent picked up my CL yet but how do you like your Eibach springs, You got any picts, Im trying to decide weather I want the red with navi and black interior or the silver with navi and black interior.

If you're using excessive throttle and your speed
isn't with-in range of going 3rd gear, it won't let you
up shift.

Same if you're going up hill, it's still uses grade
logic to a point. Hard acceration in a too high of
a gear isn't really good for your car... lugging.

Not sure if that's it, but you might want to try waiting
till a bit higher speed or making sure you're on a flat
surface to test more.

The SS is no different than a manual shift. It's not retarded, the driver is. j/k

Kinda like the driver who says "hey i was rounding the corner at 45 mph and i wanted to put my car in 1st but the shift level jobby just wouldn't go into gear...."

There is nothing wrong with the SS, at least not with mine. Perhaps you have a bum SS. OTOH, maybe you don't.

My SS is for sure bunk!!! Whenever I go WOT it takes at least 3 maybe 5 up taps on the stick. And I'm definatly pushing the stick all the way up!!

Mine does the same thing all of the time.

I can also make my car feel like it is going to die by giving it gas just as it tries to auto downshift from 2nd to 1st.

 

your car needs a big date with a good dealer ASAP
