Sorry, no San Fernando Valley recommendations. However, I do have the name of a car wash that does an excellent hand wash (Detailer recommended the place to me for times when I couldn't do it myself):

Century West Car Wash
9500 W Pico Blvd, L.A., 90035
(310) 276-1297

They are at Beverly and Pico (South Beverly Hills). (You can shoot over Beverly Glen/Coldwater/etc.)

Please, check out a hand wash place first with your own eyes, and somebody else's car. If you see anyone wipe a tire with a cloth, then use it to wipe your fender, forget about it...

I would mention all of the really bad hand car washes, but I might get sued

smak,

Do you live near San Fernando Valley?
I know a place in Santa Clarita thats quite popular..

On Sierra Hwy, basically at the corner of Soledad Cyn and Sierra, behind the small Canyon Country public library

I see lots of cars getting washed all the time by hand there...

Yeah we *are* in So Cal...it's not like we have to contend w/ bad weather like those easterners...worse we'll ever get is those damn Santa Ana winds and occasional rain(I think we're expected to get some on Wed and Thurs)
