HAHAHA 30K service quote!

Taking the ride in on Thursday. Mostly because the tranny is free wheeling. Looks like I am joining the group of failures. Since the car has 28,500+ on it. I thought I would have them perform the 30K service. When I made the appointment for the tranny, I asked how much the 30K service is.

$449.00

:thumbsdn:  :sqntfawk: :shakehd:

They are out of their fucking minds. I'll call the other 2 dealers in my area. And if they are the same cost. I'll do the fawking thing myself.

two of the local dealers quoted me that much too.

65 for tranny flush
150 for ac filter change
25 oil change
25 tire rotation
and then some more bs like 'performance tune up' where they clean out your intake blah blah.

BULLSHIT MUTHA FUCKA

i just paid 65 and got the tranny flushed, and gave them 5 mobil 1's to do a oil change and bought 2 ac filters and changed it my self. they ain't rippen me a new ass hole , oh hell no

I got quoted $340, but I'm going to have them leave off the air (engine) filter and the a/c cabin filters. It's crazy for alot of visual inspections they should do every time it's up on the rack!

you can do it somewhere else, it does'nt have to be the dealer. I was quoted the same. But the I was also told I can do it somewhere else alot cheaper. Just get the list of whats needed to be done, and get it done at your local shop.

its funny that i can do all the same shit in under an hour with a wrench and a floor jack.

meanwhile their charging 8 hour+ labor rates for something that takes them 10-15 minutes on a lift with air tools

Shit I paid like $70? Something like that for oil change, tire rotation/balance, and one other thing they did all legit and through the stupid service manager. A/C filters... I got that, shall we say, "included" . $140 A/C filters my ass.

Get to know one of the master techs at your dealer. One of the ones who knows what's up. Aside from possibly being a really cool guy, they should know your car inside and out. They can probably install your mods for you cheaper than "on the clock" prices or any performance shop with expensive labor, and if they like you, they can order OEM parts for you cheaper than any website.

That's how I got that set of '03 tails for $298 when ACP was asking $345+shipping (or whatever it was). That's how I ordered the OEM suspension parts I'll need for my Teins.

Or if you have the skills and toosl, like Soops said - DIY.

LOL! They dont even do half the crap they say they do, and then charge you for supplies! Hardest thing is the tranny flush(easy). Rest is a bunch of BS.

300+ dollars......

Rock Dog, don't feel bad. Even our beloved Park Ave charges over $500 for the 30K service!

Ya, im not doing the 15k service, but im gonna do the 30k cuz i dont want to deal with topping off the fluids, oil change, and all. I will cut off the ac filter install though to bring the price down.
