H&R OE Sport Springs vs. Comptech Springs

I'm finally sick with the 4x4 look of my CL. Actually, I'm fine with the stock suspension when I drive in my CL but when I see another CL, I realize how fuggin high the car is. It looks like Steven Erkel walking around.

Anyways, since its a commuter car (I drive 20k+ miles a year), I don't want the suspension too low or too stiff so I think either the Comptech or H&R OE Sport springs would be a good choice for me. I've searched the archives and it seems like the H&R's give a more even drop than the Comptech's. I'm leaning towards the H&R's more but has anyone had a bad experience with them or have any good reasons why I should pay $100 more and get the Comptechs?

Thanks in advance.

Anybody have pics of the Comptech drop? I did a search but it didn't turn up any good results.

I had the H&R Sports for a while. That was a good and even drop with only a 2-finger gap. But, I'm hesitant to go that low because of the Versus body kit.

I read a while back that the CT drop gives the car a raked look(I personally hate that look). I'll be doing a custom install with two 10w7's, three amps, a crossover, and an equalizer...all in the trunk. With this added weight, will it get rid of the rake?

Don't think the Comptechs have the same rake as they used to. My car is almost level. Here is a pic of Dean's car which doesn't have as much of a rake either.

I think the 6-speeds sit a little higher in the front too because of the lighter weight of the trans. Mine is even less raked than this but if you don't like the car to be raked at all you may not want the comptechs.

Very nice pics, GTKrockeTT and ChadT.

I don't think the Comptech rake is that bad but I'll probably start looking for a decent deal on the H&R OE's and maybe some Tokico Illumina shocks.
