Im fed up with all the trannies failing and replaced with ecu troubles and all. Plus the install of the supercharger by Scalbert made me want it even more. THANKS SCALBERT!!!

I don't want a new 6 speeder but I do want the navi so if anybody knows a good deal let me know. As for me I will be looking like crazy for a ANTHRACITE OR AGEAN BLUE CL-S 6 SP. WITH OR W/O NAVI.

Oh yea and my car will have a supercharged by Comptech sticker in the rear real soon. If all goes through as I expect Ill be out of like $5k but hey its only money especially if Ill be driven in a 400 HP monster I will transfer my springs and sways to the 6 speed as well as my lightweight wheels. Things for sale guys are the Comptech headers for the auto and the 2003 taillights since I won't be using these for my new monster.

Here comes low 13s and look out M3 and Porsches.

Guys like I said if you see any used CL-S 6 speed let me know. Anthracite or agean blue but if good deal I could do just about any color.

I decided last night after countless deliberations on the trade but looking at Scalberts install of the Supercharger did it to me I had wet dreams about it no but on the serious side I have Brembos coming and on a supercharged Cl-S they would come in so handy....I CAN NOT WAIT!!!!!!

one thing to note...

CLS is never meant to be a drag racer.... FWD
CLS is never meant to be a raod racer.... FWD and 62/38 weight distribution.

So be careful, with a lot of power and no handling it is dangerous!

 

I confirmed this today my tranny is slipping from 2 to 3 and Im so damn pissed right now . This only started after the Icebox I wonder what would of happened if I had the headers installed. I am so pissed at Acura's irresponsibilty towards this matter that Im even considering the G35 or 350Z. I would really have liked to go to the 6 speed but on principle alone makes me not want to give Acura any more of my money.FAWKING SHEET now I have to take a day off from work and try to prove to the dealer that my tranny is in fact slipping. Lucky for me all I have is the lightweight wheels and the Ice-box which I doubt will create enough of an excuse for Acura to try to point the finger on.
There will be some great mods up for sale if everything goes according to plan. I am really not looking forward to goin into a new car cause of the depreciation factor but I doubt Ill find a used 350Z so early in its debut.

 

I am considering the G35C six-speed too, but I'll probably wait till I move to Palm Springs in a few months, I don't think I'll be getting black either

 

Bro, You are officially addicted to speed. Be careful, that can be real bad. I seriously think you need either a 350Z or an M3. Or just keep your car and cop the neon srt4 for a while, that should feed your hunger for speed.

Hey Lou... I'd recommend checking out the 350z again. I'll be down in Queens next weekend, so if you want to check out my Z, let me know. I really liked the G35c, but I just didn't want to spend an easy $34-35k, so I went with a $29k Z

I went to the Acura dealer in Wantagh and all the CL-S on the lot where automatics and no used Cl-S whatsoever only premiums. Then I checked out the 350Z I know what you mean about people checking you out in that car cusdaddy the car is beautiful but the inside is kinda Spartan compared to the Cl-S. Then I went to the Infiniti on Sunrise Highway and they had a G35 in Red didn't like it whatsoever. Yes its a great looking car but nothing about it thrilled me at all. So right now as far as Im concern 85% is telling me CL-S 6spd. and 15% is telling me "Z".

Things I didn't like about the Z the first model I went into was so plain. The seats were cloth and had no adjustability at all, the second Z was white with the black leather and did have power seats but still not as comfortable as the Cl-S. I don't know why the power buttons of the seats on the Z as well as the G35 are located on the right side of the seat, it felt like something was poking me on my right leg.

Aegan blue Cl-S in 6 spd. and supercharger and Ill be happy for a while. I truly love my Cl-S but the tranny will always be the Aquiles of the car. Right now my tranny slips not that bad from 2 to 3 does anybody know if that means tranny replacement.

My vote is for the Z or G35C!!!!! Do it, and don't look back!! like nashua said, all that power and no handling, sucks, and the CLS is out of production in May, so get whats NEW, and HOT!

 

Ant Im letting you know this is the real deal. Ive dealt with the managers there at RAllye and they are not the coolest cats around but if you can do something please don't let me stop you. I am really looking for a used 6 speed with Navi I remeber seeing a 2003 for 23,500 but for the life of me I don't remember where. Im willing to buy used from the dealer thats fine with me just I don't want that big hit from driving a new one of the lot.

 

How about a fully loaded, slightly used 330CI 5spd???? just a thought!!

 

Lou: The interior of the Z is definitely spartan compared to the CL, and it's a shock at first, but I got over it quickly once I started the car. The one thing I really like about the Z interior is the real aluminum inside. Otherwise, the seats are comfortable.

A 6-speed CLS is a nice pick too, just may be hard to find right now used.

How much are those going for I always did like the Bimmers. That will be my next dealer I will see, everytime I go to these dealers and they see what I drive they always try to compare which only pisses me off and end up walking away. Last time I was in the Infinity dealer the salesman was telling me that the G35 was so torquey that he was going to put a $100 on the dash and if he floored it i wouldn't be able to get it from the dash. I test drove it and it felt the same as my cl-S and he made it sound like $35k for a car that drives the same as mine and looks ugly in the inside was a real bargain.

Lou: I PM'ed you my info. In regards to how it drives, the handling is what sold me on the car. It's a night and day difference from the CL, but again, it's stiffer and doesn't take some of the roads in NYC as well as the CL.

Truthfully? No. I am young (24) and my back is fine. I never used the lumbar support on my CL anyway. The Z's seats are very supportive and comfortable. On a long trip I may need a small pillow at worst.

 

I am in the same position as Lou. The thing that i am worried about the 6spd is that if it goes on on me, Acura does not cover it like some of the members of this board, and I might have to fork our some cash to get it replaced!

 

I'm wondering... would it be more economical to buy a 6 speed manual tranny and have them install it in your auto CL-S?

What worries me is that my tranny is shifting slow from 2nd to 3rd gear.....its seems like its hesitating and Im afraid that the dealer might say its fine and that they found nothing wrong with it. Which would bring me to another problem cause then Ill be afraid to push my car, I drove home from Long Island which is a 45 min. drive on the highway and took me an hour and a half on the local streets cause I didn't trust the tranny. So whats the use of having all these mods if I can't push my car cause then Ill have to get another tranny replacement.

Scooter im serious my tranny is shifting shitty as fawk and that pisses me off. It shifts perfect from 1 to 2 but when 2 to 3 its revs high for a second and then engages causing a slight hit that can be felt. Scooter I've driven manuals all my life the Cl-s is my second auto. If anything I will be tearing up the drags with the 6 speed with lightweight wheels, headers, and Ice-box or in a 350Z. When i was in the Nissan dealer everbody was just staring as I was looking inside for everything that I liked and disliked.

If anything I will only slaughter you worse at E-town with either of the above.
