I have that same Pioneer in my car. I love it! I also went with a 6-disc in dash changer by Premier above it. Also, I chose to mount the DVD/TV at the bottom (even though it covers the changer) because that way it doesn't cover my climate controls. $200 sounds like a good price for install too. Getting this deck in with a trim plate is tricky.

Eventually I'm going to put my center channel in that little pocket between the seat heaters. I'll just fiberglass a pod in there the make it look like it's part of the existing piece...I just haven't done it yet. It's on my HUGE list of things I need to finish on the car.

That installation is beautiful. I was considering the Kenwood in-dash Dvd player but I didn't want to loose the stock deck and steering wheel controls along with the electrical system. I was just wondering if there were problems with the installation and how do you control all the functions of the DVD player.

What Snook did requires disassembling the unit...I recall Ron (streeteffectz) mentioning it one time. But he's probably got he best location as far as visibity of the screen for navigation purposes for a non-navi TL.

If you want MP3 capability, I would wait until spring when the new decks are available. The new alpine and kenwood are bad ass.

one of my favorite installs I have ever seen. Done by Mik3y.

He basically purchased a OEM dash piece with the Navi cut out, an Alpine display unit w/ navi box, custom mounted the HVAC controls and deck.

When I get the money this will be the next project.

No, it's not mine. It's Tim, the owner of www.acura-tl.com.

Mine is a silver Panasonic one.

This is the best interior mod I have ever seen. Wondering how much the whole thing cost including installation.

MP3 Capability isn't really a big thing for me. I really just want a flip-out NAVI screen and to keep my stock head-unit, etc. So that's my other big question... Can this be installed and keep everything else stock?
