it's not called suicide doors either...these are the ones that latch/open where the hinges should be, and are hinged where the latch should be.
i believe the lambo doors are called scissor doors.

Gullwing doors suck. It was what helped kill DeLorean. Couldn't get out of the car in a normal /American parking space(tight), couldn't use most driveins(Mc Donalds, Burger King etc. etc) and if you succeeded in parking when you got back you couldn't get back in the car. Gullwings suck. Al
