the GTI VR6 will lose against a S2000. 0-60 for the GTI is about 6.7 and the S2000 in the range of 5.2 to 5.5 depending on gear shifting ability. Not even the Golf R32 which has 240 hp and 243 lb-ft tq will beat it. THe new R32 runs about 0-60 at 6.3-6.5.

 

what about the R32 in the 1/4 mile, who owuld win the S2000 or the R32

 

The S2K would still win. Dont forget, your comparing an upper 13s car (S2K) with a mid-upper14s car (R32).

 

From a ROLL .. the Volkswagen would pull ahead... my buddy just bought a 2k s2k and you really need to get into it before you feel the pwr. No low end worth talking about .. on the higway .. now that I'm modded .. he'll pull even w/ me .. that's pretty impressive.

 

Not to mention if that s2k is dropped from 6k .. it'll be outta the hole soooo fast ... that's why it IS the high 13's car that it is .. cuz you have to nearly destroy your rear-end to get those numbers.. and many people on the s2k board have in fact fuc*ed their rear diff at the track

 

well i think it comes down to the driver

with equal drivers the s2000 has an edge

i dumped my s2000's clutch at 6k and beat the hell out of a ferocious sounding mustang and was dead even with my boys lightning( had 22''s ).

s2000's are serious lil cars.

 

dbox... i'm with you on the lennox lewis bit.... however I dont want to fight him... it woul be like a S2K, he'd woop me in like 5.3 sec.
