Ground effects kits for CL-S?

I look at my car and wish there was a kit I could get that would add a lower sideskirt to between the wheels, and maybe even something to the front and rear.
There are a ton of CL-S owners that mod their cars - when will a company create/offer a body kit for our car?

Things aren't looking good for us right now, unless we get a custom made kit.

I'd really like something for the front, to make it look a bit sportier, nothing too aggresive and conspicuous though.

Yeah.

I even think the frontend looks fine with Comptech Springs, but the side could use some lower, sportier paneling, and the rear too.

How about if we locate a reputable custom builder(TL?) and flood him with emails and requests and suggestions (I saw some of the more talented members with their own 'photoshop designs')

Maybe this person will realize that there is no compitition out there and if we can get an idea of the price and samples from him, maybe a few of us willing to do pre-paid orders? I know I would.

This forum has already tried to get some of the bigger companies to manufacture a kit for us with no results. I think the only person that may be getting something done is Snook, the guy from autocarparts.com. I'm sure you can get one custom made, but that's going to cost a lot and it'll be made of fiberglass which will crack easily. If I remember correctly, Snook was looking into getting someone to build us a urethane kit, but this required a lot of investment money for the molds.

I personally wouldn't pay up front for the front lip I want until I see it. Especially after seeing some of the fugly kits out there for other imports, they may end up making it look like one of the aggresor kits or something crazy like that.

Is there any chance that a body kit for the Accord V6 Coupe would fit? Same basic body right?

I think someone mentioned that the CLs sideskirts are longer so this would still need custom work. Besides, the CL is curvier/rounder than the Accord (except for the front end), so I don't think an Accord kit will really flow with the lines of the CL.

I sat at the dealer and compared the front end lip of a CL and a new TL, and they seem so similar. It seems to me that it wouldn't take too much to get one to line up. I've heard of a technique called plastic welding, I don't know if that applies to poly urethane as well, but that would be a way to shorted the side skirts to fit. There are some fillers that you can apply to plastic that works like Bondo. I've never played around with any of this, so I don't know how well it works. Anyone here have experience with plastics?

Has anybody put blacklights or color lights underneath? I've seen it on some cars and it looks nice. Like the car is floating or something.

I'm having a local shop by me take a look at the tl-s front end to see if they can do some work to it for our cl's. But its a local shop definitely not capable of mass production. If you guys want to wait for a big company..don't hold your breathe especially with the release of
the RSX. You gotta go local.

If it wasn't illegal I would have put my blue neon underneath mine (instead it's up under the dash lighting the footwells).

Yeah, I recall that each mold would cost about $50,000. Front, rear, and both sides would equal out to about $200,000. Factor in labour/materials for each kit, plus marketing, etc. etc. etc...it would not be feasible. Rough guess off the top of my head(oops, can't count that high), a company would have to sell...well, at least a shitload(pardon my french) of the "CL kit" before they even see a single penny profit-wise. If the CL was sold all over the world, there would be a good chance for a kit, but seeing as how it's a "North America only" model, it's a lost cause.

Can any of you guys picture hundreds and hundreds of CL's in North America with the same "CL kit"?

Would there possibly be a way the overall sideskirt would fit from the accord v6? if its only .5 inches shorter and everything else works..it seems like the mudguard can cover up that small lack of a sideskirt.... I dunno does anyone have any experience or knowledge in this area cuz i reallly need at least one new sideskirt and really soon...I have a nice 3 inch hole in my left sideskirt right now...any suggestions?
