Grinding noise

Anyone experience any grinding rotor noises while driving? I have 45% pad left on the front and something like 35% left on the rear. Doesnt sound like a normal brake noise....which i'm sure it isnt.

Do you have aftermarket rims or a drop?

I had a similar problem on a different car a few years back. Turned out it was a small rock caught between the rotor and the dust shield.

You need to check it out quickly. Jack up each wheel and spin it. If you heard noise, take out the wheel and find out where the noise is coming from. Hope no serious damage

Warped rotors will only cause steering wheel shake when you brake(at more than 40mph), but you indicated that you hear the grinding noise when you drive, right?

yup, thats right. no shaking, just a weird grinding noise particularly noticeable at low speeds....almost like metal on metal but i dont think thats the case.
