Grill & Front Lip

Are there any other front lips that will fit the CL besides the Ron Jon? Will another front grill fit the CL or is the "mesh" or "emblem elimination" the only alternative? I'm trying to find something a little different? It looks like a TSX front lip could be slightly modified to work.

the only grille is the mesh grille that i know of and for front lips other than the ron jon theres the TL front lip but it requires modification. if your good with your hands its not that hard.

Front glip from the TSX sounds interesting...never really looked at it.

Personally, I'm kind of over the mesh grille I think now that I've had one.

I've had the mesh grille before, I went back to stock, the bar across the midle makes this car's front end.

Too bad you don't sell the grille with the kit any longer...

Side note. Any plans to produce that again?

I agree with you that the cross bar does provide a nice aesthetic.

Im also looking for any alternatives, I settled for now on just painting the emblem and bar black, but not really that much of a improvement, thinking I might even have a shop laser out the bar and surrounding and put a custom mesh in? idk..still thinking about it...also, here is a dumb question, so there is no way a saber grille will fit the CL? yes? or no? i searched the forums and didnt really find a clear answer and to be clear, im not looking to jdm it up lol..just like the look and am aware the CL was made in Ohio..OR is there anything else besides the mesh grille on ebay?

Saber grille is not going to be anyway close to an OEM fit.

Well, thanks for all the feedback. I'm going to be picking up paint tonight to color match the grill for now and I ordered the TSX front lip last night. We'll see how it turns out.

The CL looks very "Hond-ish" already, getting rid of the logo and bar in front will just make it more so. I ran a chrome strip on the bottom to give it a uniform look. might look good with a super simplistic theme, but I stil prefer the OEm grille with color matched suround:

Anything besides rj front lip or ebay grill would need to be custom. I also don't really like the mesh. I just painted the wing to match my paint and added a nsx emblem.

Yes, it is anthracite color looks really nice up close. The back of emblem comes with the sticky adhesive apllied, just remove paper backing and stick on.

I'm just going to modify my current grill and try to modify the TSX front lip as well.
I'm taking this lip as it looks like the closest fit.

After looking around though, I saw this other one that looks like I could work with it as well:

I like the NSX emblem, that will be the perfect touch, and looks nice on ur ride... I had a friend at a body shop paint the my grille black, but it looks cheap with the black " A " painted to me, does the NSX fit pretty easy? and what model year is the NSX emblem from?

I just did the grill with flat white vinyl tonight to see if I want to end up getting it painted... I think it looks a lot cleaner. I'm covering the chrome door handles (more flat white) and window edges tomorrow (semi gloss black vinyl) to clean it up as well. Here's the pictures from today:

Looks like the lip I ordered wasn't instock like their website said so they're issuing a refund and I'm ordering this lip from a different place:

I will start trying to fab it when I get it, but I'm not going to install it until the snow is gone and I have the rims/tire and new suspension in as well.

That white grille is actually pretty nice.

Save the money on the trim piece that goes around the grille and just get the 03 trim.

Part number - 75120-S3M-A10ZE lists for $55, can get it online for ~$40.

Same goes for the door handles:

Right - 72140-S3M-A11ZE lists $97, ~$70 online

Left - 72180-S3M-A11ZC same price

I'm probably going to leave the grill the way it is for now until I grab some more vinyl and clean up the quick wrap job that I did last night. The door handles are just going to get wrapped too rather than buying completely new handles. I'm saving even more money just wrapping them this way.

Ok, well I was able to track down the NSX emblem, for anyone else looking for it, Part number is 75700-SL0-A03 and is listed at $73 on www.acurapartswarehouse.com

That is coming along nicely dbramaged, Im going to be matching mine with the body color of my car as well and going for the brian6speed look, my car is already anthracite, so it should look pretty flush, may keep the wing black with the emblem, but will take a peek at it before going all anthracite.

Thanks

After looking at it, I'm going to paint the front grill to match since the vinyl looks pretty good. I'm going to flat black the emblems and debadge the rear of the car.

I covered the handled with the same white vinyl but the chrome around the windows was a little more difficult and will have to give it another go when it gets a little warmer outside. The semi-gloss black didn't look quite right.

Yeah, I got done with the passenger said and started on the driver's side when I screwed up a little and basically ran out of vinyl. When I pulled the car out into the light, I didn't like the way it looked on the passenger side so I peeled it off and will just do either a full flat black or flat white vinyl. Time to order more vinyl... I'm ordering some of that 3M Carbon Di-Noc to wrap the front grill insert behind what is already white and then cover the wood grain inside the car to see how that looks too. I'm ordering the black upper dash, door panels and rear panels and will do half & half... basically covering anything brown with black and then leaving the light tan color. My old GS-T had that color combination and looked pretty slick.

Well I went ahead and painted my grill Black over the chrome and took the " A " emblem off and added a custom emblem on, not quite the NSX one, but I think it turned out fairly nice, unique in its own way..some may not like it, but I do.
