Got some stuff done today.........
Ok, I went to the dealer & had the spolier put on, & had them install the mud gaurds. The painted ones I had. Everything looks great!! I will have some pics up on monday. Yeah I could have done them, but figured why bother. For $100 they did it all.
I also tried to hardwire my Passport 8500 in. I took the A pillar panel off(Easy) ran the cable in the headliner, & down to the fuse box. I hooked the ground to a screw. Now here's the thing. I need to tap a wire for power. Switched power. Which one can I use?? I have no idea. I have one of those clips that crimp around the wire, then the spade lug from the detector wire plugs into that.
This might belong in the stereo section but.....I hooked my old stereo up. Ran the power wire, turn on lead, & I spliced a pair of RCA's into the signal coming from the head unit. Trust me it works very well. No need for a hi/low converter. The signal coming out of the head unit is already a low level signal. Just need to get the channels right. Man was my back seat hard to pull up. It was bending, & finally came up. I found out my box doesn't fit well in the trunk. I have a box with 2 12". It was in my 300M. Wow never relized how big that was. This box in the trunk of my CL-S is just huge! It's also very overkill!! I had to turn the signal all the way down on the amp, & lower the base on the head unit all the way. It's still too much bass!!! & get this, It got louder once I closed the trunk! I have to work on it. Maybe just a new box would be good, & maybe 1 12".
I put on the grill insert too. The one made out of gutter gaurd. Thanks to the fellow member who was kind enough to sell me a pre cut piece
It looks great! One problem though. I will need to cut a few small notches for the nose bra. I need that on road trips.
Pics will be up Monday.

hey man for the power for the 8500, this is what I did. I got one of those metal fuse tappers and tapped the fuse which powers the outside heated mirrors works like a charm.
Heres some pics.

Can someone supply me with a wire I can tap. Yes I can tap a fuse, but I cannot find the right piece anywhere. Radio shack doesn't have it, & it's Sunday. Most places are closed where I am.
Thanks
