I guess I shouldn't expect you to wise up this quick.

i don't doubt your story...but our of curiosity, what should a sc'd g35c be running in the 1/4 with a good driver?

and what's a "good drover" for an auto g35c? good launcher?

Hey, don't get me wrong here. I didn't say that my TLS is "faster" than a S/C G35C w/auto. He should have beaten me easily if he knew how to launch his car and push it. I sure he should have ran better than what he did, a low 14 something. Can't say exactly as I didn't get a copy of his slip, just mine.

Besides, I was just tweeking Mantis, one of my Acura buds because he lost to one and I beat one. That said, Mantis still has the fastest 1/4 mile times in our group . . if he'd just get some tires and a bigger bottle.

I still have a video of a race against a SC430 where I did the same thing. Even I was amazed at how fast I jumped out on these guys. But hey, I started drag racing almost 28 years ago so I have a bit more experience at the xmas tree than most.

Not is some time, but I was pretty consistent that night with a worst time of .708. Redlights were on and I think .5 is perfect.

On the run vs the G35C I had a .672 with a 2.225 0-60 foot time. The 330 was also one of my best times so far with a 6.186.

According to my slip I beat him by .1553 secs, so he was closing on me pretty good.

By the way, great job on the lights. It's really hard on these cars because the tranny is so soft.

and besides, because some of your other posts I've seen where you've slammed on folks I figured it was just more of the same.

your race vs the g35c s/c proves that anything can happen on the street because cars that are within 1sec of each other it all comes down to the r/t of the driver, but when your at the track he gets his 14.1 vs your 14.5 but if that was on the street the G driver woulda been itching is head...

Both 6MT sedan and coupe dyno very close
There is no 20HP difference more like 5-6 between both. Both run the same time on the track - low 14s .

Now, 5AT sedan usually dyno lower by 10-12whp then 5AT coupe due to the factory ECU tuning and exhaust differences. However, both run very close on the track usually running 14.6-14.4 and both 5AT cars are not much slower then 6MT

So, by reflashing ECU (and autos typically show much better gain then manual according to dynos) and by adding say Stillen exhaust to a sedan, now it has a slight advantage over the coupe plus minimal weight advantage as well.

P.S. Its nice to have an educated buddy who owns G35 5AT sedan and s/c Accord V6 from who I can learn something everyday.
