Got SMOKED...!!!

Well, I ran into the wrong kinda car today... 2004-2005 Blue COBRA with the license plate that says 'TERMN8TD". Well, I was terminated!!!

We went at it in 3rd, 4th and 5th... he was pulling rather hard in 4th and probably
would have pulled even harder in 5th. I slowed down and chatted for 2 mins... his S/C whine was horrendously loud! Anyways, he makes 520whp, so it makes sense... I had no chance. I'd say 2nd through 5th, he'd take me by 6-7 cars... probably running high 127-130mph 1/4-mile traps. He was surprised and threw me a and was very surprised about the CL, but that doesn't make me feel any better.

At least I smoked a new STi by like 7-8 cars earlier today

ill ask my mustang friend to see if he knows him. btw, if you ever see a black cobra with some drag wheels in the back, thats the car you should keep away from! he lives on the same street as me, so i see his car alot. runs 10's and is turbo'd!
did he mention what mods he had? to get in the 500 whp range, you need quite a bit or a kenne bell

sooo are you about 30-1 now? By the way, I pushed in all the E-Mangage & harness connectors and it fixed the problem... must have been a loose connection. Runs great again! I lurked on the freeways while driving home from work last night, but found no worth opponents. There was an SRT-4 that rolled by while I was at the TSX meet that I wanted to annhilate but he just passed through. Anyway, good run with the Cobra, glad he gave you a

So... turns out that the guy in the STi is an old friend of mine. He had called another buddy of mine last night after the race and asked for my # - I guess he recognized the car from Turbo magazine or something. Anyways, I just chatted with him - the STi has an intake of some sort and exhaust... other than that its stock. He was very surprised a CL-S could pull on him that hard. In 4th gear it was as if he was standing still

If the blower had a large whine it most likely had a Kenne Bell or Whipple Charger, which basically are a 175whp bolt-on. :o

Nice death......130's probably a bit high.......w/ that power he's probably trapping no more than 125. It had to be an '03 or '04 (there was no '05 Cobra....will be back w/ a vengeance in '07).

At least you were a worthwhile run......nothing's worse than having that much hp and having every little wanna-b-fast driver revving @ you trying to get you to run. Believe me....it gets old quickly.

500/500 flat, you don't need that much... just a ported Eaton and a pulley. 550 you would need a Kenny Belle or a Whipple, or a 50 shot for the Eaton. Stock terminator runs anywhere from 12.5 - 13.0 flat (I ran 12.81@113)

Can't win 'em all, but if the other car is hot . . . it's always great to see a fast car getting after it . .

Way to bring back dead threads I know...

Great run. There are a lot more 03-04 cobra's around in the SFV area. I have many friends, averaging over 450rwhp, with less than 2k into the engine. People underestimate the V8 32V DOHC Cobra Engines, which is why I want one SO BAD@! Wait til the 06-07's come out. 5.4L V8 DOHC, S/C'd engine = 450 rated HP (its probably underrated as the current Cobras are).

Nice death, but that is one car worthy of losing too. If you want a rematch with a stock 03 so you can feel better shoot me a line. We are going crusing sometime in early may, and there will be many 03's for you to stomp on

Your right, I would consider porting, intake, pulley swap, exhaust, tune, and some other minor things a lot. Parts for the terminator get kinda costly, but still best bang for your buck.

Not to sound like a jerk, but a "CL g-d" wouldn't hold chance with a moderately modified 2003/4 Cobra. A Procharged Cobra run 700rwhp on pump gas, one of my friends turbo'd Cobra runs 866+rwhp. Good luck catching that regardless of what your driving.

I actually find it quite feasible for a CL-S + Turbo + H/I/C = Ferrari/Lambo Killer. I have seen Allmotor's car and it flies like no other. The V6 engines in your cars can handle a lot of boost if modified correctly. If allmotor changes his heads, internals, aggressive tune with more boost, I would be confident that he would beat the 12.6, 1/4 mile that the Murcielago does.

actually, he could run a 12.6 as is on slicks, and it would still be traction limited.

he already went 12.9 on slicks w/ his old turbo setup. now he's making ~ 60 more whp and wtq on low boost. w/ the 7th injector and a little more boost, he could put down 500 whp.

Im really set in my ways when it comes to stuff like this. I just cant picture a CL beating any sort of foriegn exotic. Anyone with me? It just seems like you would here more about it if it was able to take and lambo/ferrari. No doubt allmotor's car is most likely the fastest one on the site but, I still think a lambo would take it. But who knows unless the situation actually arose. Another reason im quite sceptical is, yes my c ar is stock but, when you get smoked by a f-350 Dually it makes you think. Personal experience, my boss' ford ate my acura up. Anyway, to end this, this is only my opinion, and i do respect yours as well as all the others on this site.

One of my friends has a '92 or '95 (cant rem.) mr2 that is turbo'd, its rediculously fast, but its not supercar. my friends 95tbs rapes it. Once agian, its just somthing that has to be seen. There is some crazy shit out there, I do have a vid of an is300 (turbo) eating a zo6, 03' cobra, viper etc. so im not disagreeing with anyone, im just sceptical. Also not knocking the v6, the worlds fasted car used to be the Jag xj220, it was a v6 if im not mistaken. You guys dont know how bad I would like allmotor or any cl to beat a lambo. (that would simply be bad ass) Regaurdless if the acura cl come close to beating the lamborghini, the acura most likely wouldnt be getting 10mpg and didnt cost the owner over 200,000 bucks!!!

Current setup: Gallaro yes... Murcielago... NO!

With some engine work... Murcielago... yes, but only from 60 to 140mph. On the lambos you pay for the entire package, not just horsepower and straight-line acceleration
