Got S2000 Fever Again...

I might go down tomorrow and see what kind of a deal I can work on a new 2003 S2000. I saw a beauty...White with the Parchment interior. It just lends itself to Florida lifestyle. Now, I said I might...!

S2000

Pappy...I have to agree with you...I thought long and hard before getting my CL S...and I almost got the S2000...It's a very cool ride. I live in Clearwater...and there are many days I wish I would have got the S2000 instead. But I am very happy with my choice (2002 CL S) I hope all goes well on the S2000 for you!!!

If i could fit in one, that probably wouldve been my choice also, but my 6'6" frame just wont fit. Plus it has so much aftermarket support....and its RWD...good luck

Thanks guys for your opinions, I sure do appreciate it. I also have to consider if I can get my mother in the car. She is 85 and I sometimes take her to doctor's appointments. My Shih Tzu's stick there heads out the windows anyway, so the convertable wouldn't make that much of a difference for them. The S2000 is very interesting. The engine and the way it is built is high tech. It's almost as though they had a budget and put most of the money in the engineering, because the inside of the car and what it lacks bothers me a little. For example it doesn't have the following: Climate control, adjustable steering wheel, power seat, a 6 position CD player (just single) and the radio unit and speaker don't seem real high guality. The rest of the car is dynamite. I'm still not convinced. I'm going over to the dealers today for another test drive and I guess...we'll see. My CL Type S has spoiled me.

Climate control? Of course it does. I has one of the best HVAC units around.

I had one for 3 months. Test drive the hell out of it as the lack of space and noise get old very quickly although it's a kick to drive very hard. The engine sounds like it's going to explode but you've got another 2000 revs to redline. It is a race car.

What it isn't is a luxury car. It's a high tech engineered car with a low tech interior. I would be looking for a sharp deal to take a less of hit as possible. The salesman told me that he could only give me $600 off list. If I traded it, I wouldn't take less than $27,500 for my car wholesale or...maybe I should try to sell it privately. That is if I'm interested in making the change.

You aint kiddin louisn!! I drove my buddy's S2K when he first got and MAN that thing flies when driven hard. It has nothing down low but once you cross over into VTEC its a beast!!

You're lucky to be in the Sunshine State Pappy, where you can enjoy it for most of the year.
