i noticed some rust discoloration on the paint on the water wells of the trunk of my cl. this is the second time it's happened. the 1st time, there was a chip, about half the size of the quarter with rust around it. i took it to the dealer, had them have the car for 5 days just to repaint probably a 2inchX2inch area...inside the trunk. well, i washed my car this weekend and noticed that the rust was back....on exactly the same spot. but the rust was over the paint. there wasn't any metal exposed. i will take it back to the dealer and have them look at it again. but, i also don't want to leave my car with them cuz the last time, when i got my car back, my trunk was flooded with water. so, can i just buff the rust out. use maybe some sand paper then top it of with touch up paint. also, why would rust show up again when the last time they painted it, it seemed like they covered all the metal parts with paint?
