How about a damp cloth or a vacuum, to go with that chromed shiftgate?

I know how you can chrome it for free.

Sit it in a bath of paint thinner or turpentine. Did you all know that underneath that brushed silver cover is a chrome finish?

Not sure why they painted over it.

The Inspire has a chrome finished shift plate as an option.

Someone on the TL board did this and it came out great.

Disclaimer: I am not responsible if you fvck up your plate trying this.

Sorry, the TL board is down right now.

Do a search for chrome and plate or for Nighhawkblack as the user ID. He did it and I think it looks pretty freakin good.

LOL... Man, I f-ed around with that thing last night, I think that it flexes too much to contain chrome. I called West Chester ACURA parts yesterday (because CLASSIC SUX) and left a message regarding the part number that was mentioned in this thread. Hopefully they'll get back to me and I'll pass on the knowledge.

Is anyone two steps ahead of me???? POst some info.
