That thing is too well advanced for me... I like a code to tell me what is wrong and then I want to fix it.. Besides my laptop is old as dirt.. Compaq 1245.. takes 10 minutes to boot up.

Plain, Simple to the point... What am I going to do with that thing?... Compare numbers with you guys?.. then what?.... go cry in the corner because of my numbers?..

Smitty needs to keep things simple and this device does what he needs. No harm in that...

An advanced analysis tool in the hands of a juvenile is often dangerous. :P

Here is a cool idea:

how about if Acura would add an integrated OBD-II scanner/reader with same feature as the one from www.obd-2.com, including the 4 Gauges cluster!

If not how about hacking the ne NAVI and adding a new firmware with an integrated OBD-II scanner?!!

Also, how about a Vector scope from the VSA sensor to show the axial and lateral acceleration G forces?

Cool, no?

You will enjoy it if and when you need it...

One suggestion for the makers: a slide switch or other option to prevent the unit from being "turned on" while "riding" in the toolbox. I've managed to "waste" the batteries twice from having the on button (a push button on the front) "touch" up against a tool or manual.

So you drive to a parts store to get a code. What if they are closed?? More importantly, how much more valuable is it to see the code imediately and not wait or drive the car.

Saves time if you go to the dealer also. I've used it twice. It says something when you go to the dealer and show them the code you pulled. You know the problem and they know you know the problem. I agree with the power on/off switch comment!
