got my m5 lip
just got back from the body shop, had my m5 lip spolier painted for 45 bones. The dude there said he didnt want to put it on because he was afraid to "fuck it up." so i'll be doing it myself. anyone have any tips for me?

have someone help you out when you do it. and clean the spot where the spoiler is going with alcohol to make sure there isn't any dust. Other then that just make sure you have steady hands because when the tape sticks and pretty much a b#@*# to remove it again.

It's very easy to do.... if you need help... we have a little write up on it. We also recommend that you use the BMW adhesive tape for the spoiler.

Use a bit of steel wool ONLY on the area of the spoiler will cover. (lightly)
Clean ONLY the area that the spoiler will cover with alcohol. (Not good for your paint)
Line the spoiler up where you want it and use masking tape as a guide.
Have someone help you after you removed the seal on the tape and put the spoiler down.
Rub the spoiler down like crazy and get it as flat as you can.

i got the lip off of ebay for 40 shipped, painted for 45 at oakmont body shop in kensington. they did some work on my bumper/quarter pannel the week before so i went back there. they told me before that they usually dont install spoliers. i think i can put it on myself. i'll post pics after
