Got my CL-S!!!

Hey guys, I have been on the forum for some time now but i finally got my CL Sunday. Sorry for tiny pics...their from a blackberry. Its a 2002 with 102K miles. Black interior and of course type s. Everything is stock on it but it wont be for long. I'm planning on removing the intake resonator in the next few days. And i know...it needs tint and SLAMMED. What do you think? I will get more pics soon.

Probably the puny a$$ bulbs.

There's no switch...

They're like weak sauce running lamps that are weaker than a night light!

Personally, I put some Polarg M6 bulbs as replacements to my road lamps when they died.

After almost 2 years one of them just died a couple of days ago.

I had to file the hole a little larger to install them but it had been a good replacement in the interim.

Now that one of them died I'm probably gonna yank the road lamps out or have them converted to some HID setup.

Whenever I figure out what ballasts or HID kit I need to do that. More research...

Get an HID kit from DDMtuning. com
The Apex Raptor kit is only 25 dollars and works great...Then just tap a switch into the empty slot by your roof controls and take power from somewhere, and run it to the switch.

Thanks for the info. I'll look into that option.

Not to thread jack but what about those HID vendors in the Sponsored section?

I was looking through the Carfax today and it shows that the timing belt was replaced at 13k miles. Why would they do this? Could it have just been a defective belt?

Probably a defective belt. Timing belts are supposed to be changed out at 105,000 miles

How would they know it was a defective belt? Unless it broke in wich case the motor needed a lot more work then just a belt. 13k miles is even to early for a serpentine belt.. Was thinking maybe they confused the two. I don't know, Just thinking out loud.

Good stuff man! And you've got a shit ton of resources right here. Don't be afraid to ask. Practice searching around, and if you can't find it, just ask the people who are on here all the time.

I was going to ask whos TL that was.

Polish your headlights ASAP. They change the look of the front end entirely.

Yeah im planning on doing the headlight restoration soon. It is pretty bad as you can tell. Do you think the headlight restoration with one of those applicators you use with a drill will do it or it will need to be wet sanded?

I prefer wetsand and buff. Sometimes you can get away with the drill thing. Just dont forget to seal them afterwards otherwise they will oxidize again.

Dont park under that tree anymore. Tree sap and bird droppings are hell on paint. Theres a drop of sap I forgot to clean and im really gonna have to put some work into it. Also a bird pooped on my car on a hot day and after only 8 hours, it was already etched in to the paint.

I wonder if you can complain to whoever maintains the grounds. Maybe they can cut the tree back for you or something. Or I'd start thinking about a car cover.
