Got my car dynoed...

If anyone cares...

Mods are gruppeM intake and dinan exhaust... i been told my HP will go up after my car has more miles on it. I only have 3500 now.

I really thought i would get more hp, but nooooo. :o

Heres your chance to make fun.

I thought it's 225hp on wheels for stock 330i. But may be humidity or other factors affect the result??

To the wheels? Crank power is rated at 225hp.... not wheels...

Then this is sad...we get 35more HP (type-S) yet you still get equal amount at the wheel. Is yours a stick by any chance?

well im actually not suprised by the numbers... everyone told me that the 3.0 engine is tuned from the factory so its hard to get any more gains out of it.

people have gotten 194hp out of their stock 330... so my intake and exhuast seems like it didnt help much... but my torque gained about 15lbs

Who would make fun of that. It's a nice car regardless of the dyno. I like the fact that it makes more torque then hp

I would have bought a 330 myself but I'm such a cheap bastard, I had to settle for the CLS

Might to too much to ask...but how much were the intake/exhaust? I know anything Dinan would cost a pretty penny (and to make it worse...this is comming from a guy who thinks 1200 for headers is expensive).

Intake was 500....
exhaust was 800...
but i got the exhaust for $200....

reason im kinda upset with the numbers is that these parts are cheap, and i wanted more out of them i guess... ahh well. Still a fun car.

Not bad at all, considering the output the car would pull well and is does have good gearing. Sure beats the heck out of my wife's E46 328i, that has more WHP than she does crank HP (damn them for upping the displacement a years after she took delivery...)

But seriously, with the gearing and that torque curve, along with the lower weight, it would run well past most cars and be styling while doing it.

Take your 330 to 1/4 mile or have a run with Gtech Comp.

I believe the paramount aspect is still missing. Although the 330i may not be all powerful it does still provide the pinnacle ride when it come to the compromise between sport and luxury while siding on the sporting side (I love my CL but my E46 handles better 'maybe better than the subject vehicle. ')

Strang. When I test drove the 2002 330CI, it felt faster. Must be the lower weight, & better torque.

A well driven 330Ci is very capable of mid 14s stock. I've seen it done actually.

It does feel faster than my auto CLS.
