Anyone in the midwest or east coast thinking of getting Brembo's? Do you guys think there would be any rust issues in the winter from the snow and salt? Thanks.

I have Brembo rotors on my Accord and one of the 4 rusted. The other 3 look brand new still.

Hey Guys,
Sorry to disappoint you but the cadium plating comes off immediately and they do rust albeit not as much as the stock rotors.

Kevin,
You have survived quite the feeding frenzy with your pictures.
Based on these posts, I think some of these guys want to marry you!
Well done!

Kevin, I think you have missed most of my questions. (I looked at the SSR's being installed *and* noticed the hub centering rings NOT the hub center caps)
The SSR's have "HUB CENTERING RINGS" to insure that the wheels are centered on the stock hubs. The wheels come with a package of 4" black rings with circlips. These centering rings fit inside of the SSR Competition wheels, but are designed for each different car model. I noticed that the hardware/hub was different on the BREMBOs. So, I also noticed that the BREMBOS have something akin to a hub flange.
DID you need to change the original hub centering rings for the Brembos, OR did the original ones provided for the stock hubs/brakes work?
Do you know what I'm talking about?
If so, did you use the ones provided for the stock setup or what?
Did you change the brake fluid in the system *and* where did you get the rear pads?
Finally, I noticed you were running Kumho VictoRacer V700 rubber from TireRack. It looks like you got the shaved and heat cycled tires. What are your impressions of the tires? Any thoughts on the choice of the 225s vs 245s (I know the 225s fit well, BUT I don't know how low you are going, just curious if you thought about the 245s.)
Did you try any of the other "R" rated rubber?

I know what the hub centric rings are. I installed them on the SSR's myslef. The rings that came with the wheels are retained with the Brembo installation.
I have been changing my brake fluid after every three track events. I use ATE super blue alternating with ATE gold. These came highly recommended, and have a much higher wet and dry boiling points.
The Kumhos are great, relatively inexpensive track tires. There adhesion, braking, etc is far superior to any street tire. I am thinking about Hoosiers next time because they are so much lighter than the Kumhos, but quite a bit more expensive.
As far as the 245's vs 225's I have not tried it, but I don't think they would fit. My front spindles have been modified to get additional negative camber (helps maintain larger contact patch when cornering) and probably would have the 245's coming into contact with my front struts. Yokohama also makes an R compound tire in a 235, which I might consider. It is more of a rain tire with greater tread depth, than a dry track tire.

I think this is one of the most impressive cars I've seen on here, but, I have one question...Why did you choose a CL-S as a track car? It seems the automatic transmission would be quite a handicap.

After bedding them in Friday and Saturday, I went to Thunderhill race track today and I can say that they were awsome. After breaking from speeds upwards of 110 mph all day long, no fade, and still powerfull. I have been holding out on you guys with recent mods, including Recaros, SSR wheels, 5 point harness, rear strut tower/harness bar, and more. If I can burrow a digital camera from work, can anyone post emailed pics for me?
