After the Giants game yesterday I went to work out around 6:30 and I was on 18th ave. intersecting Clement when a 88 civic smashed into my front fender. I was in the middle of the intersection when I saw the guy coming. He obviously didn't see me and I tried to swerve out of the way at the last second but it was too late. Amazingly my rim wasn't messed up but my alignment is prob fucked up and alot of components in the engine bay were moved around (one was rubbing on the s/c belt). The guy just looked at me and I tried to communicate w/ him but he didn't say anything to me. The cops came, no one was hurt, so they left, but they were able to get all his info for me. So, looks like its gonna be more $, and hopefully not outta my pocket. The reason I say this is b/c he had no stopsign and I did and since there were no witnesses at the accident its his word vs. mine. The thing was that I was in the middle of the intersection and I dunno if he was on the phone or panicked and stepped on the gas rather than the brake. What's sad is that his bumper which hit my car was barely nicked if at all and my car was smashed. Piece of shit

i'm with you on this one. i got into an accident about 2-3 weeks ago on van ness. i was going straight down and she turned left without yielding. my front end was pretty messed up. but good thing is it's at the shop right now getting fixed.
