On my way home from work today I had a great race with a new passat (I have a 3.0). Im not positive, but I believe they have 225hp. Anyhow, I was accelerating out of a 35mph zone into a 45mph zone, which I did rather quickly. I look in my rearview and see this vw up my ass. So I keep going and acclerate up to about 80 and he is hanging right with me. I jump on it and I catch him off guard. So I slow down a little bit and he catches up. I slow down to about 50 and make sure we arr both ready and then I take off. My <A TITLE="Click for more information about car" STYLE="background-color: #f0f000; " HREF="http://search.targetwords.com/u.search?x=5977|1||||cars|AA1VDw">car</A> downshifts great at this speed so I had a good start. I dropped the tranny into D3 so it didnt shift and then put it into D4 at about 115mph. When I let off at 120 I had probably put about 8-10 car lengths on him. This was the first time Ive got in a race since Ive put my stone headers on, and it was a rush. Overall the passat hung pretty well, but it was no match for the almighty 3.0 CL

If it was a 1.8T Passat, they have 170 HP... The V6 has 190 I believe.... Not to mention they weigh in at about 3600 pds....

 

Yes, but the 1.8T Passats and Audis can get a chip upgrade adding about 40hp. Good kill. Be careful out there.

 

My friend with the 2.3 Accord tried to race me in his moms 1.8T. He was like "dood I'm gonna smoke ur ass". Lol he got another look at my car's ass.

I was at a gas station today and the guy pulled in a say whats up. The car was actually a jetta vr6 w/ an intake. The car looked larger when it turned off about 100 yards behind me, thats why I thought it was a passat.
