Good price for 6 speed?

2003 CL-S 6speed w/ Navi.. Black exterior and tan interior

http://towncenter.pugmire.com/frames...cars_wildcard1

Asking $22k for it.. has 25,000 miles
Carfax came out clean but won't know anything till I actually see it myself. Ask them for trade-in value for my car. I have 2003 CL-S 5AT w/o navi... Silver exterior and black interior. I have 19,000 miles on it and I'm the first owner. They want my car plus $2000. Giving my car $20K value. What do you guys think? I can take it to the nearest Acura dealer and have them do 'point-inspection' for sense of security. Should I even bother??

Thanks

Not a bad deal IMO, taxes should be only about $120 if (6% here) on a $2000 sale +t,l. I'd shoot for $2000 total.

Good luck, don't blame you for wanting to change to 6MT, altho I prefer the black interior, (I've had both). but black on black would be hot in GA too.

EDIT - Great Deal! You Didn''t mention it had Navi! it's got the $500 spoiler and mudflaps too. go for it, no brainer!

doesn't sound too bad....maybe you can try to negotiate $1500 OTD....the 6-speed has a navi, which, at least new, is $2000. but it also has 6000 more miles than yours. still seems pretty fair though.

i would also prefer a darker interior....but the 6-speed is fun (except in traffic)

Sorry, you did mention Navi. If you like the color combo you should do it as soon as possible. That car won't be there for long. I think the price is very good. Check on the in-service date to see WHEN the warranty ends. An Acura dealer can do a pre-buy inspection for like $75.

you guys think it's a great deal?? ummm.. b/c i was thinking something lower than $2000 trade in, considering i have 6000 less mileage, one more year of warranty left. My car was bought brand new in May, 04 and this was purchased back in April, 03 meaning I have one more year of manufacturer warranty. Plus this is from non-acura dealer, so most salesmen do not know about issue we have with auto tranny. I would most def jump on it if they were asking $1000 trade in. Haven't seen the car in person yet so I'm just assuming everything lookgs flawless although my car has a tiny door ding on my driver side and i ddin't mention that over the phone. Do not like the color combo, I would much prefer black on black but it's hard enough trying to find 6mt with low mileage

I'm also have my engine oil change at the acura dealer today. May be i'll ask where this car was purchase. From carfax, it seems like it's from Georgia also so I can call the dealer and ask if they had performed any kind of major work of this vehicled.

I think the mudflaps come with the cold weather package or something like that, along with the rubber floor mats and some other crap.

I still think you are getting a good deal and that is at their asking price, (could go lower?) 03s are bluebooking at $19k private party and for a dealer to give you $20k is a high trade-in amount. The mileage difference is minimal IMO. Shoot for lower price if you want, you can probably get it down a little from asking price. This car would be asking $24k at an Acura dealer IMO.

Mudflaps were an option, there were no official 'packages' on the CL unless you consider the 6MT, Navi, or Type S options as packages. I hate the spoiler too but the new retail cost of one installed is at least $500.

If it were me and I liked the color I would have done this deal yesterday. I love the 6 speed and engine in this car. They only made about 800 6 speeds with Navi.
Oh yea I did do this deal kind of, sold my white/tan No Navi 6 speed (15k mi) for my current anthracite Navi 6 speed (7500 mi) a year ago, no regrets at all on my deal. THere was a $750 sale difference, I got a very good deal IMO. all private party sales.

Mudflaps are for trucks, Acura calls them splash guards...

You should be able to talk them down a K or 2,
Other than the color combo, it sounds like a nice ride, 6MT with navi are super rare.
