Good price for a 6-spd???

So, I have been looking for a black 6-spd and have finally come across one that isn't 1000's of miles away. It does not have navi, has 8500 miles on it, has a spoiler, and has window tint. The asking price is $26,988. I think that that is kinda high-am I right?? What would you offer if you were to buy it? Or should I hold out for a cheaper one??

I'm guessing it's about $2K or so too high -- what does Kelley Blue Book or Edmunds say?

I'd offer 23.5K... then work up from there.

Sounds kind of high dude. From a dealer?? Kelly blue book value for purchase from a dealer is around 27,000. Private party in excellent condition is 24,300 or so.

KBB says $27875.00 Edmunds says $23244, or $24194 for a certified one.

Also, I am told that this is a corporate lease vehicle from Dallas-is there anything to look out for considering this was a corporate car???

Consider that it was driven by someone who knew s/he'd be turining it in at the end of a year or two.

Is this certified with the extended warranty? Will they give you a warranty on the clutch?

Based on the numbers given, it sounds like there's room to haggle -- follow what civic said...

You be the judge: 2003 Type S purchased USED from a Toyota dealer
2/01/04 with 1,300 miles on it +: 18" chrome wheels, factory spoiler, gold
package, wood steering wheel, after market stereo. Paid $24,500. Local
dealer in my town says car would have had an asking price of over $30k
on his lot with those options. Not a damn thing wrong with the car, nothing.
Dealer siad they just cannot sell that type of car in Oakland, Ca!

I'd try to get it down $1-2k. But this all depends on how badly you want the car.

try to get it down if you can. the CLs don't sell particularly well.

car max on-line appraiser for a used '03 6-speed non-navi w/ 0 miles is $21K wholesale. $25K retail. this doesn't include certified, but add $1K or $1.5K.

also look at a new '04 accord 6-speed. you'll find its very similar to the CL and priced about the same as the used CL 6-speed.
