Is this a good price?

A local Acura has a 2003 CL-S 6 speed (Antracite) w/nav and spoiler. It has 5K miles on it. They have it listed at $31K (too high IMHO) What would you say a fair price would be for it?

I looked at KBB but they don't have a price for the 2003 model year yet nor does Edmunds.

Thanks,

W

In DE there're giving $2k off just about everywhere. Hell, Acura is giving $1k incentive by itself this month...

They've even got a $369 lease for April...that's fvckin cheap...

Yes, that's what it's advertised as.

What do you think?

29k is what you should pay, no more than that. a brand new 6 speed/navi can be had for around 30.5k right now.

HELLO... it has 5000 miles on it... am I the only 1 that seen that part of the post????....Your nuts to pay 31K for a friggin car that has 5000 miles already on it.. I bought mine brand spanking new with less than 10 miles on it for 29K... They say as soon as the car leaves the lot, you can take $5000 right off the top.. I say offer them 24K for it.. all they can say is no... no big deal. stand firm or get walked on by Mr. Salesman..LOL.. good luck to you Wayne

If I recall correctly, that's pretty close to what I paid NEW for my car a year ago shortly after the six speed model was announced/produced.

Too expensive, IMHO. I'd have them take something off (at least $5K, probably more) for depreciation and mileage.

For my zip code, CarsDirect has a NEW one listed (six speed + Nav) at $30,638 'invoice' and going for $30,238.

Yes, I am looking at Acura of Seattle. OK, I must be seeing things. I swear it said 6 speed when I looked at their website originally. I just looked and it says Automatic. WTF?

Sorry guys, this thread is now irrelevant. I appreciate everyones input....

I'm looking for the same car, want anthracite, manual, Navi.
Have a manual white now. My dealer had one but would not deal off price much at all.

Was the one the dealer had used? How much would you lose if you traded your current car?

It's a long story but I bought it there as a certified used Acura (5 yr warr) and within a month I decided I wanted a different color, Navi, and new. They would not deal at all, wanted to give me wholesale, so I would have lost at least $3k on tradin and then would have had to pay their higher price on a new one. ($32500) +ttl. the anthracite. This was all a week or 2 ago. They just got it off the boat when I was there. I think it sold already now. They have a demo silver 6/Navi 6k miles and want $30k for that. They said I ca have that one for my car + $5000 + ttl. too much!
I've bought 2 cars from them already, so I was not happy. I didn't expect all my $ back at all.
The white is very nice, don't see many this color at all. I may keep it or try to sell it myself.
I just decided I wanted a loaded new one in a darker color.
I'm probably stupid to consider it. I have the title already

If I keep it I may try to mod it so it looks better. I'm not a white car fan esp but I thought the used deal was good and would be hard to find used ones. Prices are not that cheap here on them, used or new.
Since they are the only dealer, I may be able to get a good price selling it myself considering their prices.

I can relate as I've been there myself (more than once). Go for the car that will make you happy and have no regrets when you do.

Good luck!
