i live in NY and want to get comptech installed on my 03 cl-s. The shop wants $250 is it worth it?

 

Niz, i have a friend out in nassau county that does all my mods (i,.e. install) he is a great guy and knows what he is doing...i do not know how much he will charge u but i think it will be less then what u were quoted. What was the name of the shop that quoted u? Just PM me so that we can discuss this privately

p.s. my friend was a mechanic at Lexus for a while before opening his own shop

 

I just paid $400 for comptech headers and front and rear sway bars installed. Did I get raped?

I don't have the necessary tools to do it myself then have a place to store them. Otherwise I would do it myself.

 

I paid 200 for header/CAI install--I got quotes all over the place...keep looking--find a small shop ( make sure they are certified and know their stuff) and try to make a deal--thats what I did...Everything has been great

 

I paid $250 for header install and $70 for sways. Got quotes from $70-180 for the sways. Didn't shop around for the headers, though, because $250 seemed reasonable (close to PAA's $220 quote).

 

BTW. The Acura Dealer here wanted $560 to do the header & sway. Damn things are expensive here..
