good idea to put on performance 225/50R17?
Being I cannot afford to buy new wheels and tires. Would it make sense to buy some performance 17's with a 225 aspect ratio? Will I get better handling performance with more and better rubber? Thanks

go with 235/45/17 on the stock rims, that will give you better traction!! the 225/50/17 are ok from what most members say, but if 235's fit, why not go that route??

That is the set up I have, its almost exactly the same diameter as stock, so the speedo is still right on the money. The tires stick like GLUE!!!!!

Ask the tire dealer how much wear you should expect from perfomance tires compared to the standard. I heard somewhere that performance tires don't wear well, even if rotated. Check it out.
