Is this a good deal?

I am shopping around for a CL in my area. I was on autotrader today and saw a white on tan 2003 CL-P with 47,000 miles for $14,900. I was wondering if this was a good deal or if I could find a Type-s for cheeper.

You can find a CL-S6 for about the same price with less miles too, just have to be willing to go a little out of your way.

I would prefer a 6MT, but my parents insist on an auto. How much is an 2003 Type-s auto

print out all the info on the auto transmission recall. that should give you an upper hand in your 6 speed argument.

lol they think i need more experience, but yeah brought up the transmission and they said get a civic. I'm going to be buying closer to June, but i'm looking for a black on black with good mileage.

First car is 15k? Holy hell, I feel spoiled getting a first gen for free. GL on the persuasion, if all else fails get an RSX or Integra-R, not a Civic =)

An 03 auto Type S would be around the same price with similar mileage... maybe a couple grand more...

Do a lookup on kbb.com, edmunds.com or nada.com for other price guidelines...

Choose another car. A CLS at 15 is just asking for trouble. And since it's really your parents car they will hold it that way at least, get something basic. Your 1st car should not be a newer car of value. Cause your going to trash it.

If you still want a CLS then look again when your ready to buy. June is a LONG way off.

Ok, I'm going to wait a few more months. I was just trying to get an idea of the price range I would be looking at. I still want a CL, my brother has a TL and I drive it often. I love the power and the handling, but I'd rather have the 2dr.

Can't say I agree. I had my 93 at age 14 and its nicer now than it has ever been.

I plan on taking excellent care of my car. Its going to sit under a cover when its not being driven, plus I'm not planning on dragging in it. I just want a nice luxury car that I can be proud of.
