good CL price??
I'm interested in purchasing a CL Type-S w/ Navi (hopefully by the end of this year) and so far the best quote I've gotten is $900 below invoice which includes the $500 destination charge. The fleet manager is also "throwing in" mud guards, wheel locks, and a cargo tray. Is that a good deal or should I try to negotiate for a lower price? I'm also concerned about all this talk regarding a possible recall and the transmission problem and even maybe a discontinuation of the CL in the future? Any input/feedback will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Safety Car
what year? if '03 auto or manual?
but, if its new, even an '01 would be a killer deal, then take the money you saved and buy some obx headers and sway bars

I got my 2003 CL-S with Navi (auto) for $30,900 in late March '02.
With wheel locks, cargo tray and floor mats no cost.
You don't want mud guards.

Supposedly the fleet selling price is $29,738 plus fees. In addition to tax and license fee, what other fees should I be aware of? One dealer wanted to charge $45 for documentary fee and $298 for the window number etching.

I would use one of the pay based online services to determine true invoice price. If you're relying on the dealer for invoice price that's a mistake. Tax, title and license plus a $50 doc fee is very reasonable. Don't let them sell you any extras like pin stripes, window etching or extended warranty. Also, don't allow them to add on any additional charges at signing (a common tactic.) Now is a really good time to buy because dealers want to book it as a 2002 sale.
