Anybody know any good body shops in Dallas , TX? or know someone who owns one and does good work personally?

I got into a wreck and have to pay out of pocket to repair my '03 CLS. I can get my parts for 25% off retail so I just need someone reliable to do the labor. it's been a really long day and I've gotta be up early tomorrow. what happened???

 

it was a really slow speed accident in bumper to bumper traffic. my lane was moving and I was changing lanes and checking my blind spot when all of a sudden my lane stopped moving and the front driver's side corner of my car cut into the bumper of a small mazda truck. I'd say collission speed was somewhere around 15mph or so. the car basically slowed to a crawl all of a sudden, nothing really hard, no air bags deployed. TOTALLY my fault for not noticing so I'm outta luck.

problem is that I don't have full coverage right now and os I have ot pay out of pocket. mostly body damage b/c the engine looks and drove fine all the way from austin, to dallas (about 3 hours + traffic). I was sure to check all my gauges every few minutes.

only thing that needs replacing in the engine bay looks like my icebox and maybe the battery mounts b/c the battery got pushed back. then some plastic pieces will need replacing of course for fender lining and front grill lining. body panels are the front fender d.s., hood (I'mma get CF b/c it's cheaper), front bumper, front d.s. headlamp (and HID bulb is gone I believe).

The one engine problem is that for some reason teh tranny won't shift into the "lower gears" or 2, 4, 6, reverse but it shifts to 1, 3 ,5 fine. I'm gonna take it to get an estimate on monday.

 

go to sewlle lexus body shop thats where take all my cars. Its the only place ive every had body work done and didnt have to take it back to match the paint better or have pannels adjusted. And they wont let your insurance company put used parts with out your consent. they rock. I dont get in to a lot of wrecks but between my mom, sisters and girl, well ex now ive had a lot done there. I Had my CL fixed there when my car was hit by and dumb ass. and i was living in austin at the time and still took it there.

 

sewell lexus eh? I'll give them a call. I have quite a bit of frame damage on the front driver's side corner. luckily it's all in front of the suspension.

I had a similar crash last fall,,, I needed a new hood , front bumber , rad and suuport, head light , $6k total. I have had my car repaired twice (other time was hail) at Grapevine dodge on 121. I think it's now called Lithon (SP) Dodge. I could not tell the car was ever repaired. Ask for Bob for a quote. He'll work with you. I also had my mini van's hail damage repaired there. Last year was a ruff year for me I had over $12k in auto claims.
