Good AutoStart for the 6MT

Any one put a remote starter in their 03 6MT???

Was always wanting one, but never seen a good one for the manual transmission.

Suggestions with links appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Clifford & Compustar are the ones with the LEGAL & CORRECT safety features to remote start a stick shift.

I've got Compustar. It's expensive but great, just make sure they ground out the factory alarm so that when you auto start the car, it's not triggered.

viper, clifford, python all owned by DEI and all very good products that will support a 6mt. i have the viper. honestly, remote starting any manual car properly depends on the installer. find a reputable shop and have them install it. if you know someone that is good and can trust, there is a couple of remote starting systems in the black market.

I'd rather have a unit that by design has the safety built in rather then depend on an installer's own wiring.

I have an '03 6MT, and when I bought it, it already had a CompuStar security system. It works great with the manual - no complaints.

Here's the link to their website: CompuStar
