Going to the Dyno

Somewhat parallel to the possible RES going into production, I finally get to go to the dyno and test my spacer plate. It is scheduled for August 3rd (that should allow me to get enough miles on the new 6-Speed) at 9:00 AM at Engineered Performance in Smyrna:

http://www.engineered.net/

If anyone else in the Atlanta area would like to come also to run there cars you are more than welcome. Just drop me a note.

But I do hope that I have the header issue resolved by then with them installed not to mention logging a nice power gain with the spacer installed...

I look forward to the results of this and your further experimentation on the 6-Speed.

PS.....I just saw your post over on the Comptech Forum.
I can’t believe how much they want to RAPE you on that “rear bank” Header price.
What the HELL are they thinking?

So how many miles do you have on the car so far?
And what do you plan on having stacked on when you go in for the DYNO... Estimated...

There are now about 400 miles on it and by the time of the dyno that will have probably doubled. As for parts on the car, I will run it with the AEM CAI and Pulleys, Comptech Headers and my RES.

I'm not going to guess at numbers, that'll just curse me...

What's the cost?? I live in Atlanta and am curious to see what my corvette can do.

I have a '01 CL-S that is stock so I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be too exciting

1972 Stingray. It's got the small block 350 and a 4 speed. I had the engine rebuilt buy a guy in Snellville that came highly recommended and he said before I put the motor back in the car that it would be about 375HP. I've done some other work to it so I'm just curious. Here's a pic. Tell me what you think?

I'm in Dunwoody, so I can probably make it over there.

It sounds pretty good, the exhaust isn't that great. Most of the money went to rebuilding the engine. Interior is next, then exhaust.

I'm going to try and make it up there though. I really want to know what the car actually does.

You don’t want to guess, but can we ???
I guess oh...say....275

Stock 6SPD = 217-221
Headers = 30-33
CAI = 6-8
Pulleys = 5-10
RES = ????

Wishful thinking maybe, but you never know.

Very wishful thinking.

I normally take the sum of all the parts and then apply a 0.75 multiplier... But I'd be happy with 260 FWHP.

I will be making every effort to insure that they will be on the car for this session. In fact, I want to have them on by at least a week before so that I can do a re-check before the dyno in order to be sure everything is still bolted down tight.
