GOING CRAZY...Do i need alignment after springs?

WEll its been about a week since i had the springs put on. I know that you have to get an alignment done after a week or 2. Well i been going to tire shops and i swear i get the run around. I been to 6 places, each one of them gives me excuses. One said that their lifts are too high for a lowered car, the other guys they dont do it, other ones say it should have be to aligned if its just lowered. Im going nuts! Do i really need an alignment? The car drives fine, but i dont want my tires wearing uneven. Anyone know a good place that knows what they are doing around chicago??

Do this,

Don't tell them your car is lowered, just say you think your car needs an alignment. alot of shops don't want to touch a car if you say its lowered.

You deff. need an alighment after the springs. I got mine done as well.

I had a similar problem trying to find a place to get mine aligned.

I went to several places and they said they were unable to put it up on the lift. We I ended up getting a referral to a place that just does alignments. The dealers and performance shops I went to couldn't do it, but since this shop just does alignments they had a machine that didn't require lifting the car.

Check your phone book for a local shop that specializes in alignments.

But definatley try to get the car aligned. It will improve tire wear and the ride of your car depending on how far out of alignment your car is.

Dude- did you call Elmhurst Freight and Alignment? Hopefully they didnt turn you down. They do an awesome job..charged me only $45, and they'll give you camber readings. I was glad to find them since all the Acura dealerships dont align 18" wheels around here..

What kind of shop installed your springs and didn't do an alignment? You MST align it after lowering or goodby tires!
