Nose Mask! Or at least wax the front (& mirrors). I went on a 1000 mile road trip and the bugs killed the front of my car! Check tire pressure also. Oil recently changed?

Where is my super sauce?
Have Fun. I really enjoy driving across the country.
I love I-80 through Wyoming. Very Pretty. Then again, I-70 thorough Colorado is pretty cool too.

Quite simple: 75 mph on cruise and you won't even realize it when you get there. I took a recent trip from Delaware (via PA TP) out to Detroit and did it in less than 10 hours, with one stop for gas and a whoooooooooole lotta time spent at 75 on the cruise. She simply willed herself out there...
Enjoy, as it will be easy driving. The good this is, you won't lug too much out in the Rockies with as much hp/torque as you should be running. Now, and '97 Legend LS with a 5-spd is a different story................the hills killed her.

Radar detector & tire seal. I would also get a bug net for the front. Are you traveling alone?
DE to Det. in 10 hours at 75 mph, how many miles is that? My friend and I are gonan be traveling from Westchester NY to Iowa this summer and expect the trip to be about 10 hours.

I’ll repeat what was suggested earlier.
Whatever kind of Wax or Polish you use, lather up the NOSE, HOOD & MIRRORS with a heavy coat.
As soon as you get to your destination or stop for the night, clean the bugs and grime off and put MORE wax on right away.
Take some cleaning supplies and clean towels with you to pack in the trunk.
I drove from PA to Florida with my 2001 CL-S and the trip was awesome.
This car is so comfortable on the 10+ hour runs and you should easily get 400-450 miles or more out of a tank of gas on the highway if you behave.
Have a great trip.

Pack a spare tranny
You should also get a full size spare tire. If you get a flat there is no way you will want to do 75 on that bicycle tube Acura provides. And our tire size is not usually stocked by many places.
I picked up an extra rim a few years ago and have a full size spare when I go on long trips. (as well as bring a small floor jack)

Well, folks i am finally here. Got here on thursday. Left at 5pm tuesday philly time and got here at 3 pm thursday cali time. It was about 2900 miles. Talk about driving for 21 hours straight for two days. Well actually i drove 3/4 way and my girlfriend drove the rest of the way. Also when she was driving my car, i was driving my friends mustang gt. Anyway, the good news is that i am here, and the bad news is that my dad scratched up my both front wheels yesterday when he took it to sacramento. Should have never given it to him in the first place. But he really wanted to drive it. I was so pissed when i saw it. So now instead of replacing the fronts i am thinking of chroming it. What do u guys think, should i chrome it or should i just replace them.
Alright, time to get a meet going so i can meet all the west side folks and also drool over their rides.
Also, pipinlong, is there any way you can help out later, within the next two months, about getting the navi conversion done on my ride. Thanks a lot.
See u guys soon. Take care.
