Glass Spots - Questions..

Okay, I used to have water spots on all the glass of my car, but today I got it taken off with an acid and water solution. The guy who did it said I should put on a protectant made by PPG. He said it is a gel that bonds to the glass to prevent getting acid rain spots again, and he was offering to do it for me for $50. I told him I would do it myself, and he said I should at least put on a couple of coats of RainX.

Has anyone ever heard of this stuff, or do you think I will be fine with the old RainX and weekly wash?

Rain-x makes a glass polish that I've used to remove those spots you're talking about. It worked great. Cheap, effective. I bought it at pep boys about a year ago; I hope they still sell it. As for keeping them off, just using rainx regularly will do the trick.

To get rid of spots on my windows on the outside, I have used claybar and it works great!
