Getting "Smoked" ?
Getting "Smoked" ?
Ok so...I myself don't really take part in much racing whatsoever...however in certain instances, I have. Now, on the boards, you see people saying "I was SMOKED!!" or..."I fucking SMOKED that guy!!", right? However, peoples interpretations of "getting smoked" seem to vary. I've seen some people say they beat somebody by 3 carlengths and say that they "smoked" the person, whereas other people say they aren't smoked unlesss they're beat by like 5+ carlenghts, you know? I mean technically, I don't even fucking know how many carlenghts is considered getting your ass kicked if you race somebody, how many carlengths is a "decent" kill, or how many carlenghts are considered a VERY close race. For you racers out there, please fill me in here, so I know whether or not I really did KICK somebody's ass in a race. For all I know, I could have beaten somebody by 5 carlengths but that may not be much? Fill me in homies

whoa, easy on the homophobic undertones mixed in with the word smoked

aka 'man i smoked some pole last night' does not mean you raced the pole and beat it by 5 carlengths.... :ultraghey:

smoked/raped/owned/owned and later sold at auction - totally killed it by buslengths
walked - steadily pulled away at a constant rate - like someone walking away from someone standing still
pulled on - less dramatic version of walked. somewhat equal but you put a car or two on them by the end.

thanks alot
Because I mean, I never really knew if I kicked the person's ass or not you know? For example, when I first got the car, I raced some guy in a 97/98 Formula Trans Am w/ 305hp and we went from a roll and he ... i guess "pulled on" me and ended up beating me to 90 by about 1-1.5 car lengths, however it pretty much was staying at that rate. At the time I thought I kept up w/ him pretty well so I didn't really think I got my ass handed to me. Another time I raced a 330ci and kicked his ass and "walked" on him ...beating him by a good 5-7 car lenghts. I had no idea if I kicked his ass or not, but I sure felt good
lol. So yeah, it's good to know if you really DID beat their ass, or if it was close or not. Thanks alot for the help guys

with my stock 01 CL-S...I wrote a story about it...I've got no idea if he was stick or auto?
to sum it up...he had 1 extra passenger...he was young, and he possibly could have been a terrible driver?
