Getting Rear Bumper Repainted or Not?

Just picked up my new Anthracite '03 CL-S 6 speed and noticed the rear bumper was not connected too flush. Also, the rear bumper underneath the driver side tail light is chipped in 2-3 places (location is the area under the light where water usually collects, so it's not too noticeable).

My question is this, do you all feel it's okay to have them send my car to their body shop (a local one in the city, not an Acura body shop) to repaint? Since the car is new, it should fade equally, right? But is factory paint usually better than the stuff body shops use? Or do you think it will fade differently? Is there a risk for the paint to defect later?

Or should I just have them touch up those 2-3 spots?

I worry that a speck of dust will be left on the bumper if they repaint and over time, that speck will grow and cause the paint to bubble and crack (this happened on my '98 Integra GSR, but the body shop warrantied their work for life). But I don't know if I will have a lifetime warranty on the paint since Acura will be fixing this under their warranty.

Let me know what you all think.

I had the car over the weekend and just noticed it. They are cool about getting it fixed or repainted, but I'm not sure if having the whole bumper repainted is a good idea or not...what do you all think?

Repainting is NEVER as good as factory! If you can live with it, don't get it repainted. Like I always say; "if that is the worst that ever happens, you got off lucky".
