getting ready for the track!!!!
well...got the comp SSR's on and my nitto245/45 555Rs as well as a near matching nitto 555 235/45 rear...to me the car seems noticablly lighter ,but i can hardly chirp these tires...so traction should be good..we shall see...UR next week and maybe e manage next month

The 245/45 Nittos are the drag radials and are really, really sticky and don't come in 235/45-17.
The added footprint from the larger loaded radius AND wider footprint should help traction. (hopefully not too much as to bog)
And, as mentioned (being FWD), you could put ice skates on the rear.

If you ever get a chance, can you weight the Nittos (both 555 and 555R vs. Toyos?)
Have fun....

y did u ditch the superleggas
hope u pull a 13.5 or better w/ the pulley, maybe a 13.2 w/ the unichip, one thing u should do if u want to get below 2.0 on the 60 foot is too put some type of spacers or somethin for the rear suspension to eliminate squating, cause the hr oe's are the highest drop u can get for our cars so i'd imagine that they still squat alot during take off cause they arent too stiff...

With about 10k miles on my Nitto 555's, they are finally starting to spin fairly freely when cold. They still have a ton of dry traction, though.
Be sure to be careful if driving around in the wet stuff, because they pretty much suck in the rain...
