Getting comptech exhaust

I decided to jump in & get them. Don't like the extra noise, but I decided to try them out for a few weeks. Got a great deal on them new.
Any install tips? I plan to zaino the hell out of them before install.

I can't imagine any tricks....don't they just swap for the stock mufflers?

If you don't like the extra noise, you can get the CT quiet tips. However, you may loose a couple of HP.

you may lose a couple of hp, as in you'll have a wonderful 2 horses at the wheels after quiet tips. hahahaha, they don't add much to begin with. but they do look pretty nice.

I know it doesn't add much if your stock, but with my mods I'm thinking they will increase my power overall. I figured I'd try them. No quiet inserts for me. If I don't like it, or it really doesn't do anything I'll sell them.

I had the same concern about the CT exhaust noise. So I visited CT in Sacramento, CA and got to ride in the blue prototype CLS 6sp with all the goodies, including the b-pipe. The exhaust note is definitely loader and does rumble a little bit at low rpms (2000-2500), but quiets down to almost nothing as you go up in revs. At cruising speed (70 mph @ 2500) it's fairly quiet as long as you don't give it any throttle. Overall, I think the exhaust is very mild compared to some other aftermarket exhausts. But when you get on it, sounds so sweet.

If you're really worried about maintaining the luxury aspect of your car concerning the ride and noise quality, then maybe mods are not for you because both ride and noise quality will be degraded a little bit.

I currently have CT springs/sways/intake/headers. I noticed that the ride quality is a bit bumpier on rough or uneven surfaces. But that may be due to using stock shocks with the CT springs. I've heard that konis will help. I also notice a change in the engine note, but for the better. Sounds a little more aggressive, but not too noisy.

Next month, I'll be getting the CT axle-back, b-pipe and strutbar with konis on my CLS 6p. I know that the car will be a little noisier but I think it will be a good compromise between luxury and performance.

install is real easy, two bolts for each muffler and then each muffler attaches to 2 hangers. just put some lube or WD40 on the hangers to make the old ones slide out and the CTs slide in easier.
