I'm an original owner, but there seems to be alot more 2nd, 3rd and 4th now...

The forum had a lot more traffic back when everyone was a 1st owner... I would have thought as the car got cheaper, there'd be more traffic here, but that doesnt' seem to be the case...

there would be more traffic, if people knew about the site, meaning we need acurazine.com stickers!!!!

I miss the wisdom of members like Scalbert, allmotor_2000. It was a completely different board back then

You think putting stickers on your car is going to bring people to this site? There are plenty of people on the site, the problem is that there is nothing new out for the CL, so the CL side is dying

Even though it is true that the CL side is dying because of lack of aftermarket parts....i still see alot of cl's around my area and when i talk to the owners they dont even know about AZ.... plus i need a sticker for the passenger window...lol...i lost the one that astro sent for the donations...

3rd owner. Car was bought in Reading, Pa in 3/03. 2nd owner bought at 36,708 in 5/06. I bought it Jan 08 at 88,897. Now has 96,113. Was completely stock except for slotted and drilled rotors. Owners manual still has original owners name and address filled out in it and the pen is in there. The ink cartridge was dried out but a trip to CVS curred that quickly! I owned a 89 supercharged 3.8l 5speed XR7 Cougar before my CL. I belonged to a board known as the SuperCoupe Club of America (sccoa.com) TONS of traffic hit the board daily and there were always new things being made and/or tried with those cars. It seemed like it took forever for aftermarket performance parts to be made for them. I always just assumed it was because they were short lived vehicles. Cougars were only made in 89 and 90 and the Supercoupes 89 to 95. Hopefully thats not the case with our beloved 2nd Gen CL's!

Joe

not lack of aftermarket parts... well it is but people wont' buy the cl b/c of the lack of parts...

plus we have the same performance parts as the tl and 6th gen accord.... but they have more activity.. i mean no one even posts in the photo gallery anymore... 2 new threads a week maybe...

^^yea thats true but then again...im not gonna lie...we are kinda harsh on people here....kind of...some people have thicker skin and some dont...and it seems the ones that have been joining...the skin is not so thick...i dont know how the tl or other forums are but i've seen mad flames...and yes they were for the right reasons "not searching" but at the same time...i think some people are scurred now....

The board has changed a lot but thankfully hasn't become a rice rocket forum yet. The newest CLs are 5 years old now.

true, the tl forum is more forgiving. many a few different styles where people don't exactly flame.

whatever slow board, fast car.
