Yesterday, I noticed that after I returned from a trip and parked my car in the garage, I noticed for the first time a gas odor. The odor is only noticeable from the outside. I hadn't filled my tank so it wasn't an overflow issue. I popped the hood and couldn't smell anything there, but the odor seemed to be coming from the right side of the car. Any one else have this problem? The car is 2 1/2 years old and has 14K miles on it so I don't think there is a problem with cracked/aged hoses.

 

I'd take it into the dealer, you're still covered under warranty, and gas odors aren't something I'd want to worry about...

 

Absolutely no odor today. I'll wait until I smell gas again and take the car in to the dealer.
