Garaging my CL for the next 6 months...
Due to some tragedy.
Last Friday I was at lunch with my girlfriend. I had just gotten up to get a drink, I came back to sit down and it was like my brain locked up.
I made a weird noise, like I was gasping for air, and I could see everything going gray.
I fell to the floor, and starting convulsing. I had a seizure for the first time. My girl said my lips were blue/purple, and i was white as a sheet.
The next thing I know, I woke up in the back of an ambulance. Couldn't even remember my own name.
I got to the hospital and had a catscan. Everything came back ok. I'm going to a neurologist for an EEG next wed. I'm scared out of my mind, because I really don't want to have another seizure ever again. It was the closest to death I've ever felt. I'm not epileptic nor am I diabetic. The doctor in the ER said that it's definitely something serious if I had a seizure that severe.
At any rate in the state of Virginia, if you have a seizure, then you can't drive for 6 months-they submit the health report to the DMV.
My girl will drive my CL from time to time-as in MAYBE once-twice/week.
Is that bad for it?

How old are you? If you're in your 20's and if you never had symptoms before, ask if it could be vaso-vagal syncope... it's not likely since you didn't even remember your name, but it could be a heart thing rather than a brain thing.
good luck.
good luck.
stop worring about yourself....worry about the car. its not good for it to sit for long periods of time
jk.
things like that would happen to my cousin, though not as severe. she totalled 2 cars due to that problem and forced to get out of law school due to stress
take care of yourself

Take care man...sorry to hear about the seizure, but I pray things work out alright for you. Hope you have a good doctor and like said before, get a 2nd opinion. These things always happen to good people...
My brother had a similar incident--he had to go through a TON of tests, some good, some bad came out of it---But in the end--He never had another seizure-and he is well now--Fuck the car, you have your whole life ahead of you--Best wishes bro!
Ya, don't sweat the car. I have been plaigued with health problems since highschool. Some self inflicted, some not. I hope the neuroligist sheds some light for you. I have an appointment to see one myself soon... I hope you have a very supprtive family as I do. It makes things a lot easier. Best of luck to you.

You said it was not epilepsy?
My father has epilepsy and he had no seizures until he was 38 or so.
In California you lose your license for awhile as well.
Good news is my father takes a small pill every morning, hasn't had a seizure in almost 20 years, and he drives like everywhere.
I hope everything comes together with your health. My understanding is that the toughest part is during the time when the doctors are trying to figure out the cause. After that, the solutions are usually pretty easy.
Good luck man.
Oh and as for storing a car, I have no ideas. : )

Hey TypeSkid, I'm sorry to hear about the siezure.
I understand the scary feeling because in June, my wife had her first siezure a week after her dad died. We thought it was a brain tumor but fortunately it was not. The neurologist will send in a form to the DMV and your license will probably be susupended. The doctor will keep a close eye on you for 3 months because if you do have epilepsy, 90% chance you'll have another siezure within the 3 months.
My wife made it 2 1/2 months before she had her second seizure. At that point, they pretty much tell you that you have epilepsy. She had a court date, and the judge determined her license was not to be suspended anymore. (mainly because all of her siezures happen within minutes of falling asleep.)
Anyways, she was put on medication (Lemictal) which she has to take for the rest of her life. She is 32 years old. She hasn't had a siezure for 3 months now. The medication is helping and there are no side effects.
Good luck!

Wow, that's frightening!
Btw, disconnect the battery cable from the battery if it's going to sit for an extended period of time (more than a week or so) to prevent battery discharge because our car leaves several things on all the time (like the dash clock).
I hope your health takes a turn for the better, kid.

Man, I hope everything turns out alright. It's just a car, it will be fine. Just crank it up once a week and drive it around the block a few times to get the tranny going.
Nitin, I want your avatar girls!!!!!

Brother, 1stGenCl and now you. My thoughts are with you and I hope you are OK. You may need to see a neuropsychologist who shld order a PET scan. CT scans do not always catch problems. I hope your troubles are few and fortune is great!
