G-tech Pros

Just trying to get a few opinions on the G-tech Pros, as I'm considering buying one. Your overall satisfaction and any problems or gripes would be much appreciated.

Also, I'm curious to see what type of numbers you guys with mods similar to mine are showing on 0-60 mph and in roadholding. I can tell quite a difference with the new tires. Along with the springs, I think this car holds a pretty tight curve. I think it also inhanced take off with the VSA off, since I have a wider tire, more aggressive tread and seemingly less tire spin.

I've taken my gtech pro to the track several times and it's always been very accurate (w/i 100ths of a second).

There is a new products coming out from Gtech and some of the guys bought a competing product and hopefully they'll chime in w/their impressions. The Pro is reliable if used correctly but I'd look at some of the newer products.

Ya, that thing kicks azz If you need anything besides straight line acceleration get it. If not the older and much less expensive g-tech is just as good.

However the display on that thig is nice. And it's easier to use, has more features, plus memory for your cars information/specs.

Thanks everyone for the responses. I'll look into the other ones too.

Nate, G-tech pros, and anyone please correct me if i'm wrong, use satellites to provide the user with performance information such as 0-60mph times, .25 mile times/speeds, and also roadhandling information (i.e. .90 gs roadholding on a curve). I can understand how satellite technology can be used for speed and distance times, but I'm not sure how it can interpret roadholding information. Maybe using time traveled, distance traveled and the angle of the curve? I'm not too sure how that works. It may explain on the web site (www.gtechpro.com)

NO NO, no satellite use what so ever.

It has a acceleramtor (spelling?) g-force detecting sensor. All the sensor does is detect how hard your accelerating in g-forces. It uses your vehicles weight vs. g-force detection to mathematically determine your 1/4mile 0-60 times.

If you know how hard (g-gravitational forces +) your accelerating and for how long. Also need to know the weight of your vehcile. You can use an equation to determine speed, 14/mile time, 0-60 time...

I'm sure there's a much better explanation of it on their website.
