Further proof Rallye Acura sux

i went over last night at around 6 to see what they had in the showroom, and here's what they had...1 Integra GS pre-owned, 1 '97 NSX pre-owned for $60K, 0 RL's, 3 TL's (2 Type S, 1 regular), 2 RSX's (both non-Type S), 1 MDX, 0 CL's...so i asked the woman if they had any '02 CL's, and she said, "we don't carry '02 CL's b/c their production is over, and we're waiting for the '03's"...so i responded, "really?? so u went from '01 to '03??" i could NOT believe it, but she said "yes, since the '02 production was so short, we got no '02's, so we had to get rid of all the '01's and wait for the '03's"...i thanked her, grabbed the '02 CL book, and drove off...their lot is designed so u have to drive around back before u can exit the dealership, so as i drove around back, i slowed and looked all around...there were scattered TL's, RL's, and RSX's...i could only count a couple CL's...i think all in all, there were about 50 cars tops in their back lot...it was spooky...so for everyone in the vicinity of Rallye Acura in Roslyn here on Long Island, u may wanna consider Smithtown Acura (where i got my baby)...they gave me $3G's under what Rallye quoted me...or just go to PAA ...they'll hook u up for sure!!

Why is this so hard to believe?
My dealer only has 2 or 3 CL’s in stock and the 03’s are expected to start arriving next week.

go to Smithtown Acura, and u'll notice their entire back lot is always full, not to mention they have at least 1 of every make and model in their showroom...and since they're the #1 Acura dealership on Long Island, they get the most turnover, most money, and prob will get the '03's in long before Rallye gets it.

I don’t have any argument there.
I was just commenting on the 02 vs 03’s availability statement.

I am sure if customer came in last september and said I want an 02 CL, they will get him one. I am sure you know about inventory cost, so I guess they are trying to keep that cost down.

from what i know, here's how they do it...Rallye's turnover isn't as good as let's say Smithtown Acura...Acura sends more to Smithtown as a result...if Rallye needs some, they'll call around and have them shipped to them from other dealerships, like Smithtown...yes, it works, but it's a temp fix since Rallye doesn't get credit for gettin it off the lot...Smithtown gets the credit...and the fact that Rallye's turnover hasn't been credited, they have to charge more to make up for Smithtown's constant turnover at a lesser charge...im sure this is not new news to anyone, but their whole operation stinks...their service stinks (Maris can verify that), the people stink (they're so arrogant, their prices are non-negotiable), and they're inventory stinks...how can they NOT have an '02 model at least in their showroom??? they skipped over a model year car...granted, it wasn't a long production year, but still, it's further proof that the dealership sux.

I get a feeling you dont like them very much.
I have issues like that with a dealership here in Philly as well. Sussam Acura, service and sales leave things to be desired.

Rallye Acura

Yes Scooter, Rallye Acura is a strange place. Once you go to PAA, you will never go back to Rallye Acura.

So since the '02 production is over already and the cycle was so short, does this mean that my '02 will be a collector's item? I wonder how many '02s were actually made?

I too shoped Rallye, and I agree they were much less than helpful, I ended up getting 02 CLS from Island Acura in Wantagh, They were very helpful, paid the last 2 1/2 month on my old lease and blew away the price of rallye, Smithtown, and Valley Stream. It took them 28 days to find the color combo I wanted, Red/Parchment... They did not have many Type s' in stock , 2 silvers, and one blue thats it... I chose not to wait for the 03 because I did'nt want stick,(for those Long Islanders know about LIE at rush hour).... and the body style was not significantly changed, I could'nt justify the extra money for semi clear tailights, and front blackouts!

AVOID PARAGON ACURA @ ALL COSTS!!!!

Hey. Pretty self explanatory. But let me explain why:

In 2000, my dad ordered & left a deposit for a new 00 Tl (navi+entire body kit) from paragon acura and was told that it would take 4 weeks for it to come. However, after 6 weeks we received no phone call and my dad decided to go there and speak 2 the manager. When we went there the manager said that the car was incoming and would be there in 1 week(the orig. sales didn't work there n e more). Two weeks pass by and we didn't receive any phone calls from them.

I go down there 2 days later telling them that on their website it said they had the exact car we ordered (silver+navi) in stock & demanded that we be given the VIN # for Ins. cards. The manager gave me a vin # and was he was very sorry abt everything and that we could pick up the car in 3 days.

My father tries to register the car for ins. but the agent says that the car has already been insured. My dad& I are like WTF!!! We call up paragon Acura and they tell us that the car was sold to someone else previously but that person cancelled his order but then decided to take the car and uncancel his order. The manager said that we would have 2 wait 2 more weeks 2 get the car. My dad was there w/in 30 hr after this phone call and cancelled his order immed and got his deposit refunded.

What really happened was that the dealer gave our car to another customer b/c that customer paid a higher price for the car then what my dad was suppose to pay!!! I know this is the real reason why my dad nvr got his car.

Sorry 4 the long post had 2 vent out my anger.
