Fuel Modifications

I think we can all agree on the fact that our cls's can now breathe a whole lot better. for the most part, everyone on this forum has intake/ exhaust/ header upgrades. and sooner or later, everyone will have a res under their hood. all of these mods increase the flow of air through our cls's but how can we make sure that our mixture is correct?

Does anyone know the flow rate of our injectors?
maybe those of you who have tuned your v-afc's aren't getting the best results b/c your cars are not delivering enough fuel.
i've taken the first step towards improving my car's fuel efficiency by getting an ignition. the throttle response is much crisper and acceleration is definitely quicker.
what about injectors and a fuel pressure regulator?
i'd just like to know if these are necessary components for the way we've modded our cars.

These are just a couple of things i was thinking about at work today. hope to hear lots of responses

sidemarker-
the hi-flow cat can be welded between the factory piping & comptech headers. the ignition system is worth it b/c there are definitely gains w/out spraying. it's made by HKS.

Johntypes-
what purpose do your fuel pump & regulator serve you?
i'd figure you're the man i need to talk to b/c you're the only person who seems to acknowledge a car's fuel needs. any advantages?

Will help a bunch.. I think Scalbert just mentioned we flow 31/32 lbs..... an adjustable fpr and larger injector will help.. but really after you do some internal mods (SC/TT/3.5/N20) Search for scalbert or EricL? posting one of them went through our injector DC's and optimal rates...

The injectors can flow more than enough for the current mods. I guess the real question is if we need additional fuel, we may be too right to begin with?? I'm not saying that is the case but it seems to be an unknown. Without properly testing, it is all a guess.

But IMO, the fuel system is more than enough to around 375 crank HP, maybe even more. My previous calculations were based on a blown engine, not NA. Nobody is near 300 WHP!!

But could a little more or less fuel be better, well just don't screw with the idle or cruise value or any tuning is wasted. Only tune for WOT. But again, IMO, fuel is the last area we should be looking at; the factory now does pretty well there. As Eric and I have quickly tossed around, there seems to be something in timing with these cars. But with timing comes the need for a little more fuel so that needs to be balanced, but one step at a time.

I'll just say that things will be tested soon with some (once again) cheap and dirty testing. But enough to give an idea of directions needed.

The more timing...the more fuel...the more bang you get...In the optimal mixture of course..

to ulimac what kind of fuel pump did you get in line or in take?

To dg-ts bigger injectors only needed with turbo or supercharger

To side marker rand tech converter gave me more hp but less tq. car ran slower at track conv. used was for accord.
